 A Delicious & Healthy Alternative
A local British farm is producing an award winning new product that is generating a significant buzz at Vegetarian Express.
It's not just us that thinks they are something special, the Chiltern Cold Pressed Rapseed Oil won two Gold Stars in 2010 and the Oak Smoked Oil won one Gold Star at the 2011 Great Taste Awards!

Chiltern Cold Pressed is grown, pressed and bottled by the Mead family at Wilstone Great farm where they have been farming in the Chiltern Hills since 1860, just 17 miles from our Watford office.
The oil has a delicious light nutty flavour and is rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9. Chiltern Cold Pressed has no artificial flavourings or preservatives and is naturally high in vitamin E.
In addition to the standard Extra Virgin 500ml and 250ml bottles, the oil is also available in 250ml bottles in these incredibly tasty varieties:
Chilli, Garlic, Lemon, Basil, Oak-Smoked & Thyme

Recipe Inspiration
Chefs within Baxterstorey recently got the chance to enter their most exciting vegetarian recipes into a Vegetarian Express Competition. Sponsored by us the aim was to promote vegetarian cooking within Baxterstorey throughout National Vegetarian Week and beyond.
Congratulations to Ben Parris, Baxterstorey Head Chef from Exxon Mobil in Leatherhead. Ben was the well deserved winner of the competition cook off, held at Edexcel in London on the 22nd June.
A special guest judge for the competition was Chris Horridge from The Fine Dining Academy. Rik Razza from Baxterstorey and William Matier from Vegetarian Express completed the judging panel for the cook off.
Ben's winning recipe of Assiete of Vegetables impressed the judges due to its combination of stunning presentation, flavours and nutritional profile.
Ben's prize includes a Michelin Starred Nutritional Training day with Chris Horridge at The Fine Dining Academy.

Working With Trees for Life
As a carbon conscious company Vegetarian Express contribute annually to our very own corporate grove. We feel this is a great way for us to support Trees for Life, who are the only organisation specifically dedicated to restoring the Caledonian Forest to a target area of 600 sq miles in the Scottish Highlands.
Trees for Life is an award winning conservation charity who work in partnership with the Forestry Commission, RSPB and private landowners, and own and manage the 10,000 acre Dundreggan Estate. Hundreds of volunteers help annually in planting over 100,000 trees in protected areas, and carry out other restoration work such as seed collection and propagation of young trees and rare woodland plants. They have planted over 800,000 trees since 1989.
